Made up of twelve of the La Scala Opera House’s principal players, the “La Scala Brass” is a chamber music group that has a repertoire going from the late middle ages to contemporary music, suited to many different cultural settings. Their objective is the diffusion of Brass Chamber music and in particular brass music related to Italy or to the world of Opera. To this end they collaborate with arrangers and editors such as Roger Harvey of “Brass Works”, “Super Brass” and  “Boosey Hawkes” of London to expand the brass chamber music repertoire in this direction.

From their foundation in 2004 they have given many concerts in the La Scala chamber music concert seasons and thorough out Italy. Among other external collaborations they have played with the piano soloist Andrea Rebaudengo and well known tenor Piero Pretti and with M° Bruno Casoni and the La Scala Children’s Chorus. They have also recorded the CD Brass and Organ with Italy’s premiere organist Fausto Caporali.
